She's confident enough to flaunt her body on the cover of Sports Illustrated, but Kate Upton is far cagier when it comes to talking about her love life.

The 19-year-old swimwear model did her best to avoid answering Ellen DeGeneres' questions when she appeared as a guest on the Ellen Show today. 

Though she looked confident and sultry in a form-fitting white dress, she seemed a bit abashed as she deflected the comedienne's inquisition.

DeGeneres didn't stop her grilling there though: she kept on pressing. 

'Have you met [Sanchez] before?' she asked. 

The blonde bombshell responded in the affirmative. 'I met him. My sister works for the Jets. She's been working there for four years so I went to all the games.' 

The best Ellen could do was get Upton to reveal that she spent Valentine's Day alone - and that she thought the NFL star was attractive.

The Victoria's Secret stunner admitted: 'Yeah, he is cute.' 

After hearing the model's response, Ellen shouted gleefully: 'She's dating Mark Sanchez!' 

She and the athlete have never confirmed their romance, though a source tells Us Weekly that the two aren't in a serious relationship. 

The insider said: 'They started hanging out about seven months ago. He's always at her apartment [and] has dropped off gifts and flowers for her. It isn't serious.'

Today, Ellen DeGeneres pressed Kate upton  about her relationship with Mark Sanchez. The talk show host got straight to the point by asking stating, “Your boyfriend, New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. How does he feel about this?”

“I did not have a Valentine’s date this year,” Kate Upton, 19, responded. Ellen was unfazed by that seemingly implausible, evasive response, continuing:

“OK, so he was busy … So how does your boyfriend Mark Sanchez feel about all this whole Sports Illustrated cover thing? He must be proud, right?”

“Well, even if I had a boyfriend. I wouldn’t ask how he felt about it,” Kate Upton said, persistently dodging Ellen’s questions. But again, it didn’t end there.

BUT, WWN has learned from sources close to Upton and sources close to Mark Sanchez’s old USC teammates that on Valentine’s Day, Sanchez popped the question.  ”He asked her to marry him and she said yes,” said a source close to Sanchez.

So why is she keeping it all a secret?

“She’s the covergirl on SI!  She’s every guy’s fantasy right now and it would really ruin the fantasy to know that she’s with Mark Sanchez AND she’s getting married.  That’s a bummer for most guys, so she’s not admitting anything.”

Upton’s sister has worked for the Jets for four years.  That’s how she met Sanchez.  They plan to marry in the summer right before the start of another NFL season.
