JWOWW new boy friend

They may have had their share of romantic ups and downs on Jersey Shore's fifth season, but when push comes to shove, Roger Mathews will do anything it takes to protect girlfriend Jenni "JWoww" Farley.On Thursday's episode of the MTV hit, Mathews is quick to defend his love when a seemingly intoxicated patron at Seaside Heights, N.J. club Karma gives her unwanted attention.

"This guy is non-stop grabbing me, pulling my dress down, and Roger's like 'back off,'" Farley says in the above preview clip before Mathews punches her tormentor in front of the Jersey Shore gang.As the agitated clubgoer is escorted out by security, cast member Ronnie Ortiz-Magro puts the situation in perspective.

"At Karma, you can either walk out the door or be thrown out the door. You don't mess with Roger's girl," he says. Are we the only ones who chuckle to ourselves every time we hear JWOWW's tagline in the Jersey Shore opening? "After I have sex with a guy, I will rip their heads off." Sure, she's probably the most capable of the Shore girls of living a Samantha Jones-esque lifestyle, but a praying mantis Jenni is not. Actually, in the four seasons of Jersey Shore that we've been exposed to the busty babe, she's pretty much always been in a relationship. We have a term for that in the real world, JWOWW, and it's called being a serial monogamist!

Her most recent beau Roger Mathews effectively snatched her out right from her last boyfriend Tom's grasp, but he's proven himself to be more than just a rebound. The couple has been dating for over a year and they are still going strong. So, since it looks like this guy is sticking around, we've decided to clue you in on 5 things you may not know about Roger, just so we can all become better acquainted with JWOWW's new love.

1. Occupation: Body builder.
Shocker. Roger is, in fact, a bona fide gorilla juicehead, and his huge frame proves it. He also trains JWOWW in his spare time, and she credits him with her impressive pre-Italy slim down, which somehow makes her look like she got a face lift. Uh, can we get that kind of trainer?

2. Roger gave jwoww a ring.
Okay, okay, so it's just a "promise ring" according to JWOWW, but it is a big fat diamond she sported on her left ring finger at the 2011 VMAs, and she has said in the past that she would never say no if Roger proposed. If we may speculate, we happen to think it's just a matter of time before a very Jersey double wedding with JWOWW and Snooki marrying their respective beaus.

3. He cleans up nice.
Roger is covered in tattoos and frequently sports the only hairstyle goofier than a blow-out — a fauxhawk. But, the chiseled dude has been spotted out with Jenni at her classier events, and, with slightly less spiky hair, and a blazer, he actually looks pretty handsome.

4. He's known JWOWW since she was 21.
JWOWW credits much of her relationship's success to the fact that she and Roger were friends first and BF/GF later. Lucky for Roger, otherwise he would have gotten his head bitten off after the first smush and then where would we be?

5. JWOWW is the only girl Roger sees himself marrying.
Both parties admit to formerly harboring anti-marriage-type feelings, but, since meeting one another, they admit that they can see themselves together for the long haul. How much louder could the wedding bells be?
